GENERAL

The SDLU Series cone-type speakers provide voice and tone signaling in fire alarm applications. All models provide excellent fidelity and unobtrusive grilles.

SDLU flush-mounted ceiling speakers come preassembled to square or round grilles. Speakers, grilles, and enclosures are UL Listed.

• SDLUHT70CU1618: 8-inch speaker with square grille; requires SDLU1988 square enclosure.
• SDLUHT70CU5 18: 8-inch speaker with round grille; requires SDLU958 round enclosure.

4-in. speakers: 22 AWG wire.
8-in. speakers: 18 AWG wire.

Construction:

Cold-rolled steel.

Finish:

Hard-baked white enamel.

Mounting Hardware Included:

8-32 screws for mounting grilles onto enclosures.

Construction:

Welded, heavy-gage cold-rolled steel.

Finish: Accoustic undercoating.
Rust-preventive coating.

Knockouts:

Each enclosure has four 1/2- and 3/4-in. (13- and 19- mm) combination knockouts.
