EQUITONE [inspires] Wins Architectural Record Products of the Year 2025

EQUITONE, a global leader in high-density fiber cement façade materials, is proud to announce that its [inspires] collection has been named a Winner in the Building Envelope & Cladding category of Architectural Record’s Products of the Year 2025.

The annual program celebrates the most innovative building products introduced to the North American market, with 67 winners across 11 categories selected by an independent jury of architects, engineers, and an Architectural Record editor. Judging criteria include innovation, performance, sustainability, and aesthetics. EQUITONE [inspires] earned recognition for advancing façade design through its fusion of digital surface expression and enduring material performance.

Reimagining fiber cement as a design canvas, the [inspires] collection pairs digitally printed surfaces with a UV-resistant matte finish. The result is a high-density panel that delivers refined visual depth while offering exceptional resistance to weathering, abrasion, dirt, and graffiti. Each panel features a permanent anti-graffiti surface and is available in dimensions of 2500 × 1250 mm or 3100 × 1250 mm, with a standard thickness of 8 mm.

“This recognition from Architectural Record aligns with what we’re seeing across the market – and what we expect to accelerate in 2026: a growing demand for high-performance facade materials that feel more connected to nature and more human-centered in their expression, “ said Harry Harisberger, Director of Sales at EQUITONE. “The [inspires] collection was developed to mirror nature’s palette while delivering the durability, fire safety and long-term performance architects require.”

The collection is organized into two complementary surface categories—Expressive and Artistic—to support both contextual and visionary design approaches. The Expressive family comprises 30 finish options across wood, concrete, rust, and stone looks (8 wood; 10 concrete; 4 rust; 8 stone), offering a broad palette for biophilic and contextual façades. The Artistic family includes five signature finishes—Coral Viva, Coral Trace, Leaves, Sine Wave, and Carved Wood—developed through international design workshops in collaboration with architects.

Beyond aesthetics, [inspires] delivers the technical performance synonymous with EQUITONE. Panels feature a smooth, hard surface with exceptional weather resistance, are noncombustible per ASTM E136, and are engineered for a service life exceeding 50 years with minimal maintenance – providing lasting value across demanding climates and project types.
